Hi, I’m Leesa!
I am a science-based holistic nutritionist living at the intersection of science and holistic health. My philosophy is “food first, supplements second”. I empower women to optimize their bone health using foods, supplements and lifestyle upgrades.
What makes me qualified to help you optimize your bone nutrition?
I’m glad you asked!
I have a MSc in Biomedical Toxicology and Nutritional Science, over a decade experience in drug/supplement safety, and am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.
In addition to my very strong background in both science-based and holistic nutrition, I’ve also completed Dr. Lani Simpson’s Osteoporosis & Bone Health Training Program (fall 2016).
I use all of my in-depth nutrition and bone health training to create optimal bone health plans for myself and my clients which incorporate a nutrient-rich diet and strategic use of specific supplements.
I make a point of keeping very up-to-date with the latest research without turning it into “sensationalized” or “fear-mongering” headlines. I won’t “cherry pick” studies to suit my beliefs; if something new comes up, I’ll look at it with a critical eye and see how it fits into everything we already know.
I want to do this because osteoporosis is a condition where nutrition and lifestyle changes can actually make a difference!
